WEST BRIDGEWATER BOYS BASKETBALL: West Bridgewater 71 Apponequet 55 February 9, 2026. West Bridgewater qualified for the MIAA playoffs by defeating Apponequet 71-55. West Bridgewater’s Ben Stapleton had an exceptional game as he scored a personal career high 24 points, led the team in assists with 5 and had a rebound, block and steal in the game. J.J. MacLean scored 18 points including 4 (3-pointers). West Bridgewater led the entire game and outscored Apponequet 21-10 in the second quarter and hit 8 (3-pointers in the game as team factors in the win. Star of the Game: West Bridgewater’s Ben Stapleton scored a personal career high 24 points. Ben scored in every way possible that included standard baskets, 3 (3-pointers) and was a perfect 5/5 from the free throw line. Ben scored 8 West Bridgewater points in a row in the final quarter. Scoring per quarter: 1Q 5 points, 2Q 5 points, 3Q 6 points and 4Q 8 points. In addition to his career game, Ben Stapleton also contributed with assists, a rebound, block and a steal in the game.
