@jamesinsurrey I was earning around £3k mid 70's and net pay was circa £210 per month. Try saving for a 10% deposit on a £20,000 property when you have a life to live, smoking, drinking and socialising. No phones, no car, no gambling and UK holidays at best.

Could any retirees complaining about how hard it was to buy a house fifty years ago (it wasn’t) tell us how much stamp duty they paid?

For every £1 boomers pay in tax, they will receive £1.20 in benefits. The state pension should be scrapped. No ifs, no buts, scrapped.

Tomorrow I go into Broad Green Hospital for the operation on Wednesday to remove cancer from my lung. Hopefully they will remove all of the bastard so I can recover and get on with my life and enjoy my retirement. I might be a bit quiet for a few days but will be back asap xx

This will make your blood boil. James from Newcastle earns £200,000 per year with a disability, he applied to see if he qualifies for full PIP, and he does. Welfare Britain has gone mad.
