Blackstock Road in Finsbury Park took over with thousands of Arsenal fans after the Premier League trophy was lifted this afternoon, the club’s first title in 22 years. Rough sleeping is rising across Southall and the wider Ealing borough. Ealing is currently in the top 8 London boroughs for homelessness. One third of rough sleepers in the borough are non-UK nationals with no recourse to public funds, meaning they cannot legally work, rent, or claim benefits. This makes finding a route off the streets significantly harder. A Bollywood couple have bought five flats next to their £21 million Notting Hill mansion, sparking a dispute with neighbours in the adjoining block. A company linked to the couple has spent over £4 million purchasing five of the 23 flats in Hillcrest, the 1960s residential block next to their west London property, along with all of the building’s garages. The couple bought the 200-year-old mansion in 2023 and secured planning approval after a three-year row to gut and refurbish the property, including plans for a basement swimming pool and underground basketball court. The flat purchases have split residents. Five men were taken to hospital after a stabbing on Horn Lane in Acton on Friday afternoon, 22 May 2026, with one man arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and drug offences. Metropolitan Police officers were alerted at 2:47pm to reports that five men had been involved in an altercation, during which they were assaulted and stabbed. Officers provided emergency first aid at the scene. Four men, aged 20, 22, 42 and 47, were taken to hospital with stab wounds. The Met has confirmed their conditions are not life-threatening or life-changing. A fifth man, aged 26, was also taken to hospital and has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs. His injuries are also not life-threatening. The London Ambulance Service sent multiple resources to the scene including ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, paramedics from the tactical response unit, an emergency planning officer and an incident response officer. Footage appears to show a group of young people bus surfing on the back of a London double-decker in West London. Bus surfing is the practice of hanging onto the rear of a moving bus by gripping engine grilles, ledges, and wiper structures. The Met and TfL have repeatedly warned that the trend is extremely dangerous, with a single slip or sudden brake able to throw a rider into the path of trailing traffic. Multiple young people across the UK have been killed or seriously injured bus surfing since the trend first surfaced on social media in 2022. British Transport Police have launched a public appeal to identify a man after a woman was sexually assaulted while boarding an Elizabeth Line train at Southall station. The incident took place shortly before 8am on Tuesday 27 January 2026 as the train was heading into London. BTP detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to talk to, believing he may have vital information for their investigation. Hammersmith & Fulham Council and Crimestoppers have launched a public appeal to identify a man caught on CCTV spray-painting the phrase “I FARTED IN YOGA” onto a hoarding on Uxbridge Road in Shepherds Bush on Saturday 2 May 2026. The CCTV footage, released by the council as part of the appeal, shows the man writing the phrase in large capital letters complete with a copyright symbol, before stepping back to admire his work and adding a crude cartoon ghost next to it. He then stood casually by a public bin, vaping, while members of the public including school children and a cyclist passed by.
