@KoalaBarry2 The mystery house they were going to buy is still on the market... 2 bedroom detached house for sale in Shore Cottage, 11 Shore Road, Carradale, PA28
It does look small...
New: Researcher Derrick Johnstone created a database of Scots who emigrated to eastern New Jersey in the 1680s to establish a colonial settlement.
Derrick tells us how he used our records to track down the emigrants 👉bit.ly/EastJerseyNRS
The location likely sells it, but this 1960s modern house in Richmond, south-west London, has quite the interior too. Largely untouched and up for sale for the very first time. bit.ly/4r7VWgM
@JANUSZCZAK Waldy's comments are nothing new. The Scotsman’s art critic Duncan McMillan once compared Vettriano’s paintings to "bonkbuster" fiction and Sandy Moffatt of Glasgow School of Art said Hoggan's work was "badly conceived soft porn". Both sound accurate!
The National Gallery of Scotland has announced it is paying tribute to the Scottish painter Jack Vettriano with a big display of his self portraits. What a collapse of judgement! Here's a ghastly 'smoker's' portrait they're showing. And something I wrote about Jack in 2004.
After back to back trophies Zhao Xintong is celebrating and treating some of his fellow Chinese professional snooker players to a delicious meal in Llandudno.
Already a number of ranking trophies 🏆 among these players, how many more over the next twenty years??? 😄

Before securing a gritty 4-3 win over Chris Wakelin at the BetVictor Welsh Open, Liam took a detour to Eryl Fryn care home.
He was there to visit Kathleen - a snooker superfan who famously met Robert Milkins during last year's tournament!

Hey @sainsburys you’ve not only made the chocolate unstealable, it’s also unsellable. Can’t even get it out without ripping the product to pieces. The whole shelf has these plastic sliders, so no gaps to slide them out of the way?????
And now I’m here in John Lewis. Am I the only person who wants to buy a nice bowl or a lovely plate that’s made in Britain and not in China? Sophie Conran, PortMeirion is beautiful and sounds British but made in China. Rick Stein Treyarnon Bay, Cornwall. Sounds Cornish but made in China. Almost everything I have picked up here is made in China. I’ll happily pay more for British made, in what I thought was a British shop, but it seems to be impossible.
