@CFCLee2 Yeah sorry my previous post was alluding more to the high number of red cards we were getting.
But 100% the attitude of the players is an issue on top of that.
The problem is it’s a young group with almost no experienced older players. It’s like a school holiday for them.

@CFC_Russ 100%, however sure I read a stat the other day we had the most yellows for dissent over the last X period but either way.
Still pains me we missed out on Enrique, these owners have got to bend on what they’re willing to offer 10 fold for it to be a top manager is my main worry.

@CFCLee2 I don’t think it was all down to discipline under Enzo, also a tactical issue, too often players were left exposed at the back and that naivety takes over.
But either way I think an experienced manager who has already earned respect and experienced players changes the culture.

@CFC_Russ Agreed, having said that there’s a lot of noise the players were unhappy with Enzo going & we still struggled with discipline then. It’s got to be a popular name amongst the squad who comes in, else nothing changes. Plus, some more experienced players to put some in their place.

@CFCLee2 This is a young, naive team. We can see that with the amount of bookings they get. Some of these players are arrogant. It has to be an elite coach tactically but also a man who commands respect and can rule with an iron fist when necessary.
Respect plays a huge part these days.

The guy thrashed PSG and was rewarded with Gittens and Garnacho. He wanted a striker and they gave him Delap. He lost his best CB and got told to use Badiashile. He was forced to give useless players minutes. They’re lucky he didn’t walk out before the season started.

Good, now sack the idiots who put him in charge in the first place. At this point it’s gross incompetence that wouldn’t be accepted at any other workplace. Poor decision after poor decision. Costing the club millions, not only in his pay off but in missed revenue.

This goal underlines a very serious problem in Caicedo’s defending, he’s too man oriented rather than judging which zones are of higher danger value.
Here he’s stepping into defense b/c Fofana was out but an intelligent player will know he has to defend the zone the ball goes into rather than completely focus on a man who is no where near receiving the ball.
This is not only in the box but out of it too, he’s too focused on the player with the ball which at times completely destroys the defensive structure when he jumps & doesn’t win the ball in midfield.
