The US Constitution provides for strong centralized government in the areas where it is necessary (ie national defense, immigration law, foreign affairs etc).

They adopted socialism for the national people. That is the reason, I do not see them as right-wing, not based on authoritarianism.

Monarchists are leftists, because they support in centralized, basically totalitarian, government. The term "conservative" is taken too literally and therefore applied where it should not be. IE by the literal "conserve" definition that many use anyone trying to defend communism in the USSR in 1985 would be deemed "conservative", which is nonsense.

German conservatives in the 1930‘s were monarchists, not people that believed in decentralized democracy. That is American conservatives.
