To say that this is the biggest honor and privilege of my career to date is an understatement. Even as I type this, I still can't fully believe it. I am the English voice of the Protagonist - Yu in Persona 4 Revival. My endless gratitude to @Atlus_West and Studiopolis for putting their faith in me. Truthfully no amount or combination of words can encapsulate the gratitude I have in this moment. For the elephant in the room: my cast and I stand on the shoulders of giants. We all grew up on monumental and iconic performances and the amount of respect we have toward our predecessors cannot be overstated. Truthfully I know that this news comes to the chagrin of many and I would be lying if I said I haven't been nervous about this reveal. I want to make it clear that I see myself solely as an iteration. Johnny will forever be my and many people's GOAT and I can only hope to aspire to his greatness. I did my best to do right by both him as well as the fandom. At the end of the day, I know that not everyone will be happy, and that's okay. You can def tell that Senna was made with a lot of thought, intended weaknesses, and cool strengths. Really cool char but compared to chars like Illaoi and Ahri who are far worse design wise she is so underwhelming. You can also tell Thresh wasn't supposed to release this early.

@CloudWick1014 @Depresso_04 Does that even matter? What difference could ATLUS make to the script to make it so drastically worse. If anything I would hope for them to rewrite certain areas of the game. NOT the a lot, but Yosuke doesn’t need to be doing all that 😭

@Depresso_04 like when P3R came out I decided to start playing P3FES instead, I never saw the remake as a replacement, I wanted to experience the game in its original form the way fans have enjoyed it for decades, I knew the remake just wouldn't hit the same.

@Depresso_04 Undeniably, the combat in P3 and 4 is not good. It's entirely focused on the use of crits and phys damage because magic doesn't get revamped until 5. Even then it's only slightly better at downs because of technicals. In P4 using all out attacks is terrible until Rise basically

@castlevaniafanV @Depresso_04 I think that’s something you need to know if you want to go on a personal journey with the game or if you are competing. You don’t need to know frame data for most moves to be good at fighting games

@CarnyDev @Depresso_04 its different with fighting games because they are 98% gameplay and 2% story. i have little understanding of basic mechanics, hitboxes, and just general info on how the game works when thats something you really need to know. i just like beating people up in asbr

My take on this dumbass “do you really need to play the game” discourse is that when my laptop broke I couldn’t continue umineko, a vn with literally no gameplay, by watching it on YouTube because it just wasn’t the same

@castlevaniafanV @Depresso_04 I don’t think someone’s skill at a game necessarily dictates if they are a fan or not. When it comes to fighting games I feel this is especially true. I would consider myself a casual final fantasy fan though

@CarnyDev @Depresso_04 i dont think theres anything wrong with that as long as you dont try to call yourself a fan or act like youre well versed on the series. i play lots of different fighting games but i would never consider myself a fan because i an terrible and dont know much about the lore.
