Extremely proud and excited to announce that I have signed with Parlyaree Press to have my third poetry chapbook, Post Humanist Religion, published! I will follow up with updates as they come.

@NathalieBretec3 Absolutely to all of this. I'm sad and angry, but like you, I'm not going to harass the cast and crew.

@CathyWriter24 I can't say I'm"sad", "angry"or so and I'm not going to harass the cast and crew. But indeed, in this GO3, there's a kind of compliance to the darkness and the renewed religious fears of the times we live in that upsets me(btw that's why there's no kiss or physical intimacy IMO).

@NathalieBretec3 Also, I don't know why everyone is just assuming why the new universe is "better" than the other one. Humans can be assholes without God being involved. There are atheist and agnostic bigots.

@CathyWriter24 👍The outcome had a quite boring "chattering order" atmosphere, besides the darkness of an actual apocalypse that existed but was mocked in the book. And like nobody cared much about the easiness of the outcome in the novel, lazy writing could have been forgiven with a happy end.

Let's be honest. If #Goodomens3 had just ended with the restoration of the old universe as it was and Aziraphale and Crowley alive, in love, and kissing as an angel and demon, no one would care about any assumed implications or philosophies about God and free-will. NO ONE.

@azfellncrowley I won't say it's homophobic, but to me and many others, it certainly feels homophobic. Still, if you find joy in it, good for you, because Lord knows members of the queer community need to find some joy right now.

you're allowed to not connect with the ending in that way, everyone takes what they take from it. but that doesn't make it homophobic, and characterizing it as homophobic is erasing so much impact.

hanging on to this with tooth and nail because it's important to me and certain characterizations feel pretty hurtful

#go3spoilers queer love and love for humanity created a world where people are free to be themselves and love each other freely, without being punished for it. this message is extremely important to me, a queer transgender man actually.

@minsessed As a lesbian, I'm baffled. The biphobia in the queer community and the lesbian community is real, and I just don't get it. Over untagged, non-specified queer book recs.

you said your issue with m/f queer books with bi characters is that their bisexuality is only mentioned once and never again and I told you I've read sapphic and achillean books with the same thing happening. you responded that it doesnt matter because it'll still be a queer book

@minsessed This all started because they went after someone's untagged personal general queer book recs that included some books with m/f pairings where one or both of the characters are bi. They implied that they were, and I quote, a "Straight main couple."

@DuncanBrola @BlS3XUALlSM Let's maybe not quote the homophobes regarding fellow queer people. I swear, who needs homophobes when the LGBTQIA+ community is determined to betray and cannibalize itself.

This cartoon isn't an exaggeration—not even 1% an exaggeration. Weeks ago it seemed this far-right Supreme Court would still block any map intentionally authored to be racist. We just learned that that's no longer true. We have reentered Jim Crow, and it's a national disgrace.

@jemsgreatsin The Dead House by Dawn Kurtagich. It's YA, so it's not too over the top with blood and gore (there is some, including some pretty brutal scenes so beware), but it is to this day the scariest book I've ever read. I had to stop reading at night because it was that scary.

@An_Aria_Blooms All of this discourse is happening because someone posted a thread of general queer books recs that featured some books with a main m/f pairing. And people didn't like this because they don't consider bi characters (and probably real-life people) in an m/f relationship as queer.

I feel like this will always rub sapphic readers the wrong way because it allows publishers to pander to queer people while still churning out mostly m/f. Until the day comes that there's an overwhelming amount of bi4bi f/f (or f/nb or nb/nb) then I don't care about c*s bi4bi m/f
ijebu/igbo barbie 🧚🏽‍♀️🌸✨@notdebbyroar

a book with two bisexual MCs is a queer book bisexual people don’t stop being queer even when they’re in M/F relationships 🤷🏽‍♀️

@An_Aria_Blooms If people want specific queer rep books, ask or find recs. However, if someone asks or looks for just queer books recs, then it should be expected that some of those books are going to be m/f books with one or more bi leads.

@hangingmannoose @Yvonny_Star They made them palatable for a straight audience. I'm sis, and I can't let it go. They made Crowley's chosen name into a meaningless surname. You DO NOT TOUCH anyone's but ESPECIALLY a trans person or character's name. That's sacred. I don't care about reasons.

@Yvonny_Star I feel you too man 🫂 these two (and the others like Beel, Eric etc) genuinely helped me figure out my style and get me comfortable in my own skin 😞 It's such a shame to see how drastically they changed in the end. It's just not them anymore, they took away their quirks

Yve | Mourning What Could Have Been AziraCrow
I haven't been posting much because GO3 had me mourning. I can't even focus on anything. I'm just too sad Especially as an NB, the ending just erased the genderless nonconforming identities. The erasure I felt literally brought me down for days. It's one of the reasons I hate it

It was a comedy bcs Pratchett was involved in writing the book. S2 was mostly a comedy bcd there was more writers involved who were all great at comedy The finale in S2 & S3 ended up being epic tragedies bcs it was all written by Gaiman who is known for Dark Fantasy & Horror
kris@notwithhaste__

also! good omens was a comedy! a lighthearted silly show. ‘i love hamlet and les mis’ yeah you go into those knowing what to expect and getting exactly what you went in for. that is not what happened with good omens, are we being purposefully dense
