You are entitled to your own opinion but trust me paying off the mortgage was one of the best milestones of my life. It was not only because the financial experts talk about the bullshit tax benefits of having a mortgage deduction but they do NOT tell you about the psychological benefits of paying it off. Once you pay it off, you do NOT have to worry about if you will lose your job or not. Once you are 100% debt-free, nobody can ever mess with you. You have 100% control of your freedom all the way around YOU!

@curryjason @yonann Mortgage is our only debt. With our low interest rate, it just doesn't make sense to pay it off. I do consider making that transfer soen days. I have more cash sitting in my personal safe than I owe on my mortgage.

Dave Ramsey is 1000% correct. I am living that life by maxing out the 401k for the past 30 years, max out the IRA for the 30 years, became 100% debt-free at age 42 years old and have stayed in that same starter house for the past 30 years. There is nothing magical about it except 99% of Americans do NOT want to live that life meaning ridiculously below their means in a small house, drive the same truck for 25 years, and stay under the radar. Just giving a "hint"! :-)

First Partner Series cards for the 30th Anniversary are beautiful. I think the sealed Box will be a GREAT long term hold years from now. In the Short term, a lot of these were printed, I would be patient in acquiring them. I don't think these will EVER get reprinted though.
