@MaisonGladys In Scotland, since 2015, it's a legal requirement that all new homes must have energy efficient measures ~80% have PV - like our new TaylorWimpey home in Ayrshire. Rest of the UK requires similar legislation. Not perfect as more panels & batteries needed - but it is a start.

@CloudBase777 We also wouldn’t flood the country with cheap labour and pay people as much as we pay them to languish idle. You’re arguing to reduce benefits which is one part of the equation, but we also need to curtail the supply of cheap labour.

If we had a true free market economy, the supermarkets wouldn't have the billions in profit as they would have to pay their employees a livable wage without the UK tax payers having to make up the difference universal credit. #r4today
