Today, SBA suspended 1,091 firms from the 8(a) Program – about a QUARTER of total program participants – after they refused to turn over basic financial documentation for our review. In total, the suspended firms received about $5 billion from the federal government from 2021-2024. We pledged last month that every contractor would be required to PROVE that they aren't running one of the pass-through schemes or shell companies that gamed the system after the Biden Admin expanded the 8(a) Program to advance its DEI agenda. @beachcitylove @SBA_Kelly I built a business for 15 years and had to sell it because I ended up taking care of my parents and my brother… Not taking government funding! My buyer claims bankruptcy on his SBA loans with zero ramifications- might as well just do that ☹️

Meanwhile my husband (sole proprietor) is drowning in his SBA loan payments. Damn near all going to interest & think balance maybe dropped $1k. All this fraud is so upsetting. Lets not forget about all the rich Celebs who robbed PPP loans and such. With $5 billion in fraud, @SBAgov can’t we just forgive the loans of the true tax paying Americans who are just trying to make it to the next day? PPP loans forgiven for rich celebs but the blue collar hardworker just keeps getting screwed.
