A swift leaving its nest under the eves of the Decorator's Centre in Bridport, opposite the Waitrose car park. There's another nest on the opposite side, both of them small gaps between the timber truss & stone wall. It's the imperfections of any building that let nature in.

As #WorldSwiftDay comes to end, we wanted to share the artwork @Kim_Squirrell has been working up for #BridportSwiftTown, a new community campaign to celebrate & help protect these awe inspiring birds.

Two welcome nest entries at St. Anne's Church, and one #Swift entry at 98 Western Road. A return to one of the nests in Abinger Place, makes 53 nests discovered in #Lewes so far. Lovely picture of a Swift resting in the nest from the wonderful Jonathan Pomroy, Wildlife Artist.

A seventh #Swift nest in Station Street takes our total to 54 nests in #Lewes so far!
