Her crown is not a sign that she rivals God, but that God has exalted her through His grace. St. Ephrem the Syrian wrote in the 4th century: → “The Queen stands at your right hand, clothed in garments of gold.” Mary’s queenship is not about power, authority, or glory for herself. It is about her closeness to Christ. As a mother, she leads people to her Son, encouraging us to trust Him, obey Him, and remain faithful to Him. She never takes the place of Jesus.
