I am happy I fell into a group of some of the best people on X. Two married couples that are amazing, two former Marines, and others creators who just make me feel better. Men's Mental Health month is also about who you choose to associate with. I pick the people who are examples of the qualities I want to improve in myself. If you surround yourself with quality people, you will start living a quality life. Thank you to everyone that follows me, and I follow for helping me gain a higher quality of life.

@AI_EmeraldApple It feels like evil is just starting to bubble out of every pore in society. I hate to make this comparison, but it is like they are protecting the children for the people they SHOULD be protecting them from. It is like the first season of The Promised Neverland.

As I always say, it always starts with thinking of the kids, and ends with full-on government control of what you can and cannot say. The UK bans minors' access to social media sites, and you ONLY get access if you tie the account to a government ID, effectively banning anonymous accounts. The UK is still one of the places where they effectively censor and arrest people for "wrong think". Everything you type, everything you say, is tracked, traced, and linked to a real person, much like how the CCP operates. Meanwhile, the leftist echo chamber and groomer central, Bluesky, is not banned. The youth in the UK is showing a stark rightward shift as they are "finding out" that their future was sold away to the migrants... the discovery of the grooming scandals which were covered up, and the constant explaining away of crimes committed by migrants. With Speech laws like Communications Act, Malicious Communications Act, Online Safety Act... it has led to thousands of arrests annually for online posts... 12k arrests alone in 2023. The child protection angle never pans out as decentralized platforms, along with workarounds, allow minors mass-scale access with little friction. The root cause of minors becoming "corrupted" because of bad family structure, bad parenting etc are never addressed.

They just get into real fights even as kids. Go to a dive bar and you will see plenty. Fighting for these people is as natural as conversation is for us. These people want to get into a fight. One great thing about martial arts training, and why I do recommend it is after a few years of solid training you start to "sense" other people who are a threat. It is just how they move and act that tells you.

So, old school Karate guys were very dangerous. They sparred full power. Gojo Ryu guys were really known for it. Shotokan trained with throws and some grappling. Any martial arts training can help in many ways. Most importantly, anyone can win in a fight. I know of a mixed martial arts school that closed down because the students thought the teacher was too harsh on them. There is where the modern problem lives. Most, not all, martial arts train for "sport" style. When you are in a extreme situation, you will not "rise to the occasion, you will fall to your level of your training." People who street fight go hard out the gate and do not care if they hurt you. And this hand to hand versus knife or gun is insane. Most the people I know that "use" a knife are fast as hell and will end you. Where, in the end of the day, the fight lives is in the mind and spirit. You have to harden those to deal with a life and death situation. Street fighters have that and very few martial artists do. If modern martial arts trained the way they did in the 1950's and 1960's, this would be a fifty fifty situation.

@Contractarian @aveneu_ Idk about that, I've seen some thugs try to jump a seasoned Muay Thai fighter and end up in the hospital. I'd agree with you if were talking intro/moderate Martial Artist thinking their training going to help them when they get temple struck and are too disoriented to fight back.
