@molineuxmusings I would still love to see him on the right. Would allow us to play Wolfe on the left. Brentford showed again yesterday how effective the wide player crossing having cut inside can be. And we’ve also seen how effective Hugo can be when cutting inside from the right.

For all the perceived quality of Hugo Bueno's crossing, the delivery for Tolu when he hits the bar is the first time I can recall this season he's come near hitting the expected standard. Given how often he's in position to deliver, that should be more regular.

@NathanJudah Not the way I saw it. Thought we were shockingly poor first half. Second was much better, obviously.

Edwards: “To be 2-0 down, I didn’t feel we deserved it, but we were “We made a couple of errors and got punished, I thought we were playing very well “Showed a lot of character & belief, great fighting spirit to get to a point where we could go on and win it “Really proud of performance overall “Looks that way (re.backpass) but if we’ve got away with that one we’ll certainly take it “The boys will have some time off, we’ve never had a 25-day break in the season before “It’s a big game at West Ham, we’ll be ready” #wwfc

Why haven’t we gone to a back 4 in the last 10? The back three allowed them safe possession. Brentford were done at 2-2 and I’m sorry, but draws mean nothing except for maintaining a sense of competitiveness about the end of our season. Am I being unreasonable?

@wwfc_rj I’m not sure it’s even possible these days. It’s not just Wolves. Nobody manages this. Anyone good will have other offers.

Heard this shit all before with "I want all my signings before pre-season.” Guarantee we will make 50% of our signings in August • We’ll have 2 players in before pre-season starts • 3 during pre-season. It’ll somehow be sell to buy despite what happened in Jan #wwfc #wolves
Talking Wolves@TalkingWolves

Rob Edwards wants #WWFC to move quickly so he can have his squad together in good time for pre-season training. #Wolves’ transfer strategy this summer is likely to centre on a mixture of homegrown players, young talent and a sprinkling of overseas signings. 📰 @JPercyTelegraph

@refsupportuk Surely the problem is the system? I’ve seen some really good officials when they initially start, but then they seem to get sucked in to being as terrible as the others. So what changes? The only thing I can think is that this comes from the very top.

@stevebird1877 You really can’t argue with Pantone regarding colour. They’re the authority all designers work by. So you’re really saying you want Wolves to play in the orange of your youth. Thats fine, and a lot of older supporters agree with you. That was never Old Gold though.

@CreatedIn I agree about branding and being consistent. Hardly difficult once a shade is agreed. However i disagree with the current shade and how you/fosun evaluate 'old gold'. Pantone may well call that 'old gold' But there is nothing old or gold about it. It's yellow.

@KieranMaguire The power bank thing always worries me. Sometimes I’ve had train tickets, on my phone. Match tickets, on my phone. Needed Google Maps, on my phone, to find the ground. What do I do if my phone dies?

Appreciate this ban affects all fans but Brighton fans have been advised that coins and phone power banks are banned from the Stadium of Light and there will be ‘enhanced searching’. “Any coins discovered during searches will be placed into sealed collection buckets. These will be donated to Brighton and Hove Albion Foundation” Twelve hours of travel plus the match itself on a single charge is pushing it. As for coins, I’ve never assaulted anyone with a 20 pence coin before, but is that how football fans are seen these days?

@refsupportuk When it’s generally thought that refereeing standards are at an all time low, and few people who pay to attend games have any faith in the officials, it’s an interesting stance to blame the paying public.

It’s clear after this weekend that Football fans [not that we need anymore evidence] are the most entitled fans in any sport ever. Never accepting match officials mistakes but every mistake made by players are classed as “what if” or “he was unlucky there” …incredible when you think about it. 🤷‍♂️

@Brownie89 I’ve not met anyone that actually attends games that likes it, but it’s not there for us. In fact football isn’t really there for us. We’re there for football. Name me one other entertainment industry that treats its paying customers with such contempt.

Genuinely does anybody like VAR? We still get wrong decisions, subjective decisions week after week… Has it improved the game? Or just ripped the emotion out of football?

@AL07729884 @daveazzopardi I might be reading way too much into this, but from where I sit in the BW, it was very noticeable that Rui Pedro Silva was much more involved during the games against Villa and the 1st Liverpool game. He was very animated, and the coach RE was turning to. Not the case on Friday.

@CreatedIn @daveazzopardi There was very much an identity on Tues - pretty much the Nuno way (dont concede, hit on the break with fast forwards, attacking subs in second half). But we could not replicate it on Fri. The team he picked just did not reflect that identity. It baffled me tbh.

@molineuxmusings This for me. Tolu can be really useful helping to see games out. But I don’t want to see him starting.

Genuine point: Tolu makes a huge difference to us defensively on set pieces. He has a role to play at points, but I think Edwards wants us pressing on to teams so Hwang/Mane alongside Armstrong is probs the next best solution

Think it’s quite clear now what our strongest XI is: Sa Mosquera Santi Krejci Tchatchoua Bellegarde Andre Joao Hugo Armstrong Mane Rodrigo, Hwang, Toti, Wolfe are the real contenders for a berth off the bench but think this is it for the rest of the season.

@daveazzopardi I agree, but that’s the way of things now. People can’t see past the result. Win and he’s a god. Lose we need to replace him. But I just can’t see anything unique. I genuinely hope In wrong, but I feel like I’ve seen this all before, and it doesn’t end well.

@molineuxmusings I just don’t like the way we play when Tolu is in the side. We play long to him, and it rarely sticks. The only thing he adds is he’s very good when defending corners.

It’s basically a replica of the first half on Tuesday night, which we can be perfectly happy with defensively but not going forward. I don’t think it’s part of the plan to be so deep and unable to get out of our own half. Need more from Mane, Tolu and Angel.

@NathanJudah I hope not. It’s not just that I don’t think he’s good enough, I just don’t like the way Wolves play when he’s in the side. He’s very good at defending corners, but surely we need more than that?

The domino effect of Andre’s absence was clear: - Took Joao away from his best position - Angel comes in as the filler and can’t impose himself - Nobody to stretch the game Bellegarde could and should do more, but Andre sorely missed.
