This perspective assumes that financial markets are structured—or ought to be structured—such that capital flows primarily toward activities with the highest probability of creating genuine economic value. In practice, however, the participants and institutions that drive market prices do not allocate capital on this basis alone. Moreover, it is unlikely to diminish the enduring human and institutional interest in speculation. Furthermore, short selling plays a critical role in maintaining market equilibrium. In its absence, asset prices would be far more prone to unsustainable parabolic increases, followed inevitably by sharper and more severe corrections.

One of the biggest unlocks coming in the next few years is going to be the birth and empowerment of financial agents. There are at least two ways in which these agents will transform the economy. 1.) Your personal financial agent will be able to do ALL of your budgeting, bill pay, and investment. If you want (and I sure as shit will opt in), it will be able to cut you a weekly or even daily "free spending money" sum to spend as you like. The rest of your money, it will funnel to needs (rent, healthcare, all bills, etc.) and to investments. This will make mismanaging your finances (one of the most causative factors for poverty in wealthy nations) a thing you have to actively go out of your way to do, radically reducing it. It will also de-stress SO MANY people who stress about money. 2.) Your financial agent (and everyone's agents) will begin to invest in the stock market on your behalf. Once AI exceeds human experts in stock market trading capability (no later than 2028, in my view, but probably sooner), the market will transform. When nearly all traders are using the same frontier models to inform (and eventually execute) their trades, the efficiency of capital flows will begin to rise exponentially. This means for example that companies (and industries) that have a poor outlook on fundamentals will be much quicker to lose shares, and companies that have big, realistic promise for upside will get funding way, way faster. At first that sounds like a lot more chaos in the markets, but when the vast majority of traders are AI agents, their much more aligned visions and long-termism is in my view likely to create a radically more stable market. Much less a place for speculation and shorting, and much more a place where companies that need money for high-probability value creation will get it smoothly and rapidly.

After a 45 point rally from 6k reclaim long trigger at 8am this morning, to 6045-47 target in #ES_F, we spent all day basing with no vol. Geopolitics bringing us some evening volatility now. Same setups apply: 6k reclaim starts ES to 6007, 6015, 6029 again. 5975 fails, sell 5957

@raymogerrits That's just the risk of shorting in a bull market, low win rate setups. I know some people like the short side though especially when we start a correction so I still keep them in there, but I make sure to give the full disclaimer beforehand

Today's sell was caused by a Tariff Tape Bomb, there was key technical context. #ES_F put in a huge Failed Breakdown ystd at 5850, bullish setup. The invalidation of a bullish setup, is very bearish. As per newsletter 5836 had to fail to trigger short. 5796 must recover to rally

Yesterday, longs triggered on reclaim of 5890 in #ES_F. Target was the breakout of a 2 day bull flag at 5925, with 5945, 5953 1st targets. We broke out, back-tested last eve, hit 5953. Hold lotto runner 5925 must hold (5945 if bulls really control) to see 5963, 5970-75+. Dip<25

@TomSanchez71 Impossible to say how long for a breakout to occur. Often times it'll break out as well then the first breakout will trap, then try again later and succeed. Its a nice bull flag though!

Textbook Failed Breakdown as we build a flag in #ES_F. As posted all day, 5900-5927 = chop range. We probed below 5900 and I posted its recover would see 5910, 5927 again. We recovered, 5910 hit. *Protect gains*. 5937, 5963 if it wants to break. 5890 must fail to see 5860/5850

Big Picture View: On April 6, #ES_F hit support of a 10 month Megaphone Pattern & new leg up began. For last 2 weeks, it then bull flagged 5492-5150. On Thursday, this flag broke out Plan Next Week: As long as 5492-85 keeps defending, 5565, 5620, 5680=upside targets. Decision zone there. If 5492-85 fails, flag fails & we see 5405, 5377, 5328 to fill Tuesdays gap
