Daniel got important clarifications from NVIDIA. TLDR: the "DLSS5 skeptical" were right about *everything*. 1⃣ It's a 2D AI Filter. Input is only color buffer & motion vectors. The model doesn't see geometry, lights, PBR properties, normals, anything🧵 youtu.be/D0EM1vKt36s

@ashdogx Or maybe more accurately like a racing game. It's really satisfying to get a turn just right, especially when it's over a few different angles. Actually my favorite control layout in RE1 Remake literally uses right trigger as an accelerator lol

@ashdogx I'm in a weird minority but I actually find that the fixed camera and tank controls are part of what makes older RE titles so satisfying. It's a little bit like a platformer where your brain is calculating how you need to precisely move at every moment as the angles flash past.
