There’s the culprit. There are benefits to having the most DIY problem-solving father ever to have lived. The challenge is resisting the urge to fix it all myself. One of the big truths I’ve embraced this year is that I simply can’t fix it all. But this…this I can fix.

Trying out this social media thing again. This time more emphasis on the “social” and less about the “media.” It is a tragedy that a tool with such potential for enhancing human connection has been so leveraged as a catalyst for divisiveness.

Was in an Amish furniture store a few years ago talking to the carpenter when a notification on my watch vibrated, and I glanced at it. “What’s that,” he asked. This bill is an enormous debt bomb waiting to go off. With its regressive, tax cuts, coupled with healthcare and other benefit cuts for lower and middle income families, we are going to saddle the next generation with an unmanageable debt crisis while also depriving them of the support they need to thrive.
