Publishing really can be death by a thousand cuts at times. Still, there isn't much that beats the joy of sitting down and writing a book.

As well as all the other things you need in your favour, the role of luck and timing in regards to getting the traditional publishing deal can't be underestimated. And, sadly, those two things are completely out of your control.

Today I had calls with 3 friends, did some writing, became stricken with an allergic reaction to something that's still alluding me (but has made me uglier than usual!) and chatted with a well-known actor friend who wants to narrate one of my unpublished books. How's your day?
