Ah, isn't it lovely when people get refunds on ebooks through the evil river site after reading? No. No it isn't. (And also cancelling pre-orders after you send arcs out, but this isn't as bad...)

Delighted the amazing @joellesliefro is narrating 'Magic, Maps and Mischief' and 'Charms, Charts and Conspiracies'! Joel is talented, and brings the books to life in ways beyond my wildest dreams. Can't wait for you to hear his work! Book 1 is out June 9th and book 2 July 7th!

This is literally what my book writing gets me. Regular injections for a condition I have to manage because I can't actually afford the injections (12!!) every 3 months. Because my health insurance decided they weren't essential. *Crosses fingers for a new book deal soon*

Since my health insurance decided they wouldn't cover the cortisone injections for my chronic costochondritis, I've had to forgo getting them until I can afford them, and they're expensive. I'm having a pretty big flair up at the moment. The pain is bad, but the fatigue is worse

@InDeepGeek The recasting of Aragorn in Hunt For Gollum will be an interesting test bed for people's appetite for such a thing. Though I imagine de-aging might be the route with the hobbits due to it being set within the timeframe of the movies.

As always, I will reserve judgment on this until I see the film. But 3 points now... - I have moaned a few times about the omission of most of chapters 3-8 of book 1 in the films. So it would be churlish of me to now moan about their retrospective inclusion - I don't know much about Stephen Colbert as a screenwriter, but I know he loves the books. I refuse to be a gatekeeper to Tolkien. All are welcome. I will see what he's got. - If this is a framing device with flashbacks, will we get AI de-aged actors or new actors? Either way, fans will be put out. I fear this film will be facing an upward struggle from the start.
