@DefeatedIn @The_PunKing Again, these are the bare essentials. Get the hell out of the hobby if you refuse to do the bare essentials. This hobby isn't for you. Go play a video game (this isn't directed at you; I'm using "you" in a general sense).

The thing in my head all day is that uing random tables is prep. People love them, and I know folks who put a lot of time into getting great random tables. My favorite open world style is even lower prep than assembling and following random tables. So there really is a difference between low prep and no prep. Both are great!

@justnyxs This ain't gameplay, but this is what God of War has been like since the PS2 If you agree that this looks crap, just admit that this franchise isn't for you and it never has been

If you deadass look at this gameplay and the first thing that comes to your head is "woke," you don't deserve to call yourself a gamer.

I wish the hardcore scene would worry more about the sexual predators that pull up to their shows and less about some idiot in a banana costume.

The "no roll needed" discussion is so utterly ridiculous. Pure ragebait, with far too many people giving attention to something/someone who doesn't matter. Every GM should run the best game for *their* table, with the tools and methods best suited for their players.

@The_PunKing This is a common argument I get all the time. Things like reading the rules are often cited as prep. That's a given to me. The bare minimum to be in this hobby. I personally don't think rolling on a table to make something up on the fly is prep though.

@Alykkat What makes a console worth buying other another? For most people, it's the exclusives No exclusives and there's no competition No exclusives and there's even more slop

Why are *some* gamers so hell bent on exclusives for consoles? Like what does that get you? Don’t you want more people to enjoy the stories and games you enjoy? Is it just team sports & you don’t want anybody else to have what you have?

@kenjisbestie I'm at about the halfway point. Took a little longer to get into it than previous Expanse books, but I think that's been more me than the book itself. Yesterday, I sat down with it for about 100 pages, and I'm locked back in

@Varzenox Just got to your local library and find something that interests you You might want to try and make sure it's written in a style that's a bit simpler and about 100 - 200 pages so that you can get a few easy wins
