Really wonder what Dubas’ blood pressure is right now. This gives him 18 hours to change plans and execute something before deadline. If they have to play handful of games without 87 and 71, making the playoffs potentially becomes a problem. Look at the schedule. What does he do?

@JNolan93_ @JoshYohe_PGH No reason to not trade Mantha and Skinner. I'd also argue the guys they bring up to replace those two this year would be just as good as them if not better. IMO you look for players to sell when prices are sky high like this.

@DefiManic @JoshYohe_PGH Idk if I'd trade Brazeau, he's still under contract, but it might be worth exploring trading the expiring UFAs who probably won't be back. Guys like Mantha and Skinner.

Some of the players getting traded for first-round picks should serve as a reminder that Dubas doing nothing this week isn’t the worst thing that could happen. I expect him to be active. But just saying.

Most people prefer breakaways and such i get it. I'm a strange cow who loves watching people block shots hah. There is no longer the same passion IMO.

@Franchise9494 @jameslavish @KirkHerbstreit @usahockey The game has gotten a lot faster which has gotten rid of the enforcer role, which kept fighting as a very common part of the game. IMO hockey is a faster more entertaining game now than it was 20 years ago. Players are better now than they've ever been.

@DefiManic @jameslavish @KirkHerbstreit @usahockey Fighting, toughness, willing to grind. All slowly eliminated since 2006 return from lockup, manufactured by rule changes. IMO the sport was at its best 1990 to 2005.
