I walk past a construction worker in medellin laying fresh pavement in the sun for $2 an hour which is the median national wage in Colombia.
I quickly pull up Gemini and find out that the NYC comptroller sets wage rates for pavers at roughly $100/hour split 50/50 between base wage and supplemental benefits.
