@Devrontay @jackson_boehman Players like him and Steph train and treat their bodies in a way that separates them from the rest and revolutionizes the game. That level of dedication to being the best wasn’t required in previous eras of any sport. But I see how that makes it difficult to compare eras

The insane progression of athleticism & skill in professional sports in America (especially basketball) over the last 30 yrs makes goat debates tough. Anything MJ did against a bunch of plumbers and firemen can’t really be compared to Lebron’s utter dominance in a much better NBA

@jackson_boehman @ThoughtsFromWes And with regards to the skill increase, I’d argue it’s unfair to directly compare old and new because of the lack of access to modern day training/analytics, etc. That being said, I love Lebron. while I personally think MJ is 🐐 there is 100% a strong argument for Lebron

@jackson_boehman @ThoughtsFromWes Respectfully disagree, yes the overall athleticism was somewhat lacking comparatively but defenders were able to hand check and clog the lane (defensive 3 seconds implemented in 2001). Also flagrant/electable fouls in todays game were commonplace fouls in 90‘s
