I’m in consulting, industry, & academia. They’re all very different. OH and other lawmakers need to COME TALK TO FACULTY. We don’t want ANY students to feel left out or censored. We also don’t want underinformed thinking (including ours) to rule the day.

OH faculty should be encouraged to share our scholarship with our students & welcome thoughtful debate. This will all but kill that. Faculty hiring is selective, tenure is grueling. Want more conservative faculty? Encourage them to apply! And stick it out! ohiocapitaljournal.com/2023/05/18/ohi…

After seeing it on TikTok, I started tracking the setlist for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. I was inspired by my ISE 5760 class to create visualizations out of this info to better understand the representation of different albums/eras on the tour. #ISE5760

This visual epitomizes simplicity as it breaks down a more dynamic stat. Given analytical models that suggest when NFL team's should 'go for it' this graph efficiently shows a smooth transition from team to team. Here, you would like to be near the bottom. #ISE5760

This is another example of a chart practicing Gestalt Principles we have learned in class. Its use of simplicity and continuation from 'bottom to up' make understanding which holes are the easiest and which are the hardest. The color changes also help us visualize this. #ISE5760

I would not necessarily say that this properly grouping the 88% from the 12% as all of the shots are represented in the same color. The triangles also group the better shots, however, its frame of reference is fuzzy. Nonetheless, it shows Djokovic's serving dominance #ISE5760

During a 7hr layover @LAX, I set out to the @LACMA because I heard Magritte was there. When we found it on the 3rd floor, I said "Ceci n'est pas une pipe means, This is not a pipe!" So of course my teenage daughter said, " OK, if its not a pipe, what is it??" #ISE5760

#ISE5760 this is a common misleading visual. It suggests there are more people that are LGBT more recently, suggesting some malicious influence, but this Is only bc we feel more free to be out and identify as such. Same argument as left handed people where 1/2

#ISE5760 this is just crazy…no source, horrible design. Ig it shows his intended frame of reference with the steep ascent at the end? There are no numbers on the y-axis! Almost like a kid drew this.

#ISE5760 the designer wanted to show that the Nazi Regime decreased the deaths from circ. diseases. Not only did they shrink the y-axis to do this, they also over-correlate to follow their narrative. People died of plenty other reasons than heart disease in 1940 thanks to nazis!
