Sovereignty has the most immaculate @RagozinSheets of any horse I have ever seen with that many races. He has run 9 times and in every start but one, he has run faster than the race before it. The only one he did not run faster, he paired up the exact same number. You just don't see a sheet like that.

FROSTED will always be linked with American Pharaoh for me as it was the moment when @larrycollmus said, “Frosted is all out” that I knew the 37 year wait was over. Seeing him at four win so dominantly in the Met Mile and Whitney was satisfying and deserved. RIP.

I've seen Derby years with 2 incredibly great horses ('89) several with numerous real good horses & other years where I thought the whole field stunk ('09) - this year is the Hopium year. Horses are now so lightly raced & carefully managed. Several of these look quite promising

The future of horse racing will be New York. (BEL & SAR) Kentucky. (CD and KEE) California - maybe Florida - maybe That’s it. The very few tracks will be competing with each other. There will only be two dozen trainers left. The future is very bleak. Tell me I’m wrong.

I get it, and this was inevitable, but I hate it. What happens in 10-20 years, when the breed can't handle the races being spaced THIS way? At what point do we step back and say, "we should breed sturdier animals that can run more/longer," instead of changing calendars?
