This is legitimately the toughest tweet I’ve had to send in a while.. When I first started at The Ringer in 2020, I knew I’d found home. Reaves went crazy again tonight, busting ass like his name was Darius Johnson Jr, and I bet we won’t hear a peep from @BillSimmons, @ZachLowe_NBA, @RobMahoney, @jkylemann or any of my other @ringernba peeps. If he played for the Celtics, we’d get an entire treatise about how he has the killer instinct of Whitey Bulger, the handles of Cousy, and looks like a true American from Brookline, MA. But because he’s a Laker, he’s treated like “Sinners” on an Outkick top 20 films of 2025 list … not mentioned. I hope in the coming year my beloved company learns to appreciate Basketball of all colors … including Purple & Gold. Tonight Reaves scored 44. I beg of you guys to remember that man that wore 42, and what discrimination has do to a society. Do better.

Ok, thank you all for the guesses! This helps me get an understanding of engaged player perception around augments. This was useful! A few people guessed correctly, and the randomly chosen winner was @BrosephTft with the correct guess of Comeback Story! If you guessed Late Game Scaling, you were close. That's number 2 on the 2-1 list. A couple people actually guessed the lowest 2-1 augment which I thought was fascinating. It's also clear how many Bard enabling augments are on people's minds. Two much value, Trade Sector, Epoch, etc were all common guesses. Makes sense given the meta right now, and with how much they enable Bard I expect them to be popular all set. And finally were guesses around Singed enabling augments like Nine Lives and Risky Moves. Oh, and for all the people who guessed augments that don't show up on 2-1 (21 gold, Bronze for Life, Golden Egg, Win Out, etc)...shame on you for not understanding the assignment. Ok, that's it. @spamman1235 I don’t understand what you are saying. Mechanics is level of skill at the highest level. Adc is nearly all mechanics. A smart low level mechanics master player would be able to hit challenger with this change.

@DoctorL_ Idk, I’ve never played league for more than a few games compared to other MOBAs but I don’t see the issue here. Mechanics changed but the level of skill doesn’t. Bronze will still be bronze and top 500 will stay top 500

Being able to dodge something does not close the gap. A good player will diff you by knowing the gamer better and playing better

@fdotOnline Yes there is no automation, and I agree it probably is good for casual player base actually. But this completely kills the role for competitive league, which in turn kills the game. Nothing an adc does would be impressive anymore.The best adc and the 100th best would be identical
