Turned off one ad. Same day: ROAS jumped from 0.72x to 2.50x. One month later: 4.26x. That ad was spending 60% of the budget at 0.72x ROAS. Campaign average was 1.57x. We checked the frequency first. Frequency was NOT significantly lower than the campaign average. It was not doing top of funnel work. It was just burning money. We turned it off. Budget reallocated to better-performing ads immediately. Same day: 2.50x. One month later: 4.26x. No other changes. One decision. One ad turned off. ROAS more than doubled. The data was there. Someone just needed to read it.

@RapiHodler There is no data associated with a pixel. The pixel does not store data. Back up pixels don’t do anything. Only back up ad accounts hold the data

I have noticed that more and more ad accounts are getting banned for no clear reason. And the real problem isn’t the account itself, it’s all the data you lose with it. If you don’t have a backup, you’re forced to start from 0. That’s exactly why we built Rapi Tracking: apps.shopify.com/rapi-tracking You can create multiple backup pixels that aren’t connected to your main ad account, and track everything server-side and browser-side. So if your Business Manager gets banned, you can relaunch the same day with another pixel, without losing all your data. And the best part, you don’t even need to connect your Facebook account. Just paste your pixel ID and it’s live in 30 seconds.

How to never have that happen and never get locked out - Create a Meta Dev Account - in the BM Create an "app" - give the system user admin rights - store the api key for the system user This user will never get blocked ever no matter what and with the api key you can add new profiles to the bm even when all others are blocked
mike@highcvr

@Meta I’m a brand owner and I have spent over a year building my brand and scaling my business. I spend over $1,000,000 a month on Meta ads. Like a lot of others I was recently banned on my facebook profile for no apparent reason. My profile (which was never used personally, but only ever to access my business manager) was the only admin on my business manager. I have lost my businesses facebook page, my pixels, and my ad accounts. All pages are still active and my ads are still active. Clearly I have not violated any of the community guidelines, however I was flagged by your AI systems for some reason. This is a huge problem. Meta’s AI system that reviews accounts is awful and unfairly flags profiles for no apparent reason. Once a profile has been flagged it is going to get suspended no matter what… I did the video selfie verification and was still suspended. And the BEST thing about all of this is that once your account is disabled there is absolutely NO way to contact support. Can this please be looked into! It has been over a week where i’ve had ads running on an ad account that I don’t have access too. I have sent countless emails to support for over a week only to receive emailed from people who don’t even know how to spell “This is” (they are likely AI automated emails) and they are absolutely no help at all. Me and pretty much every advertiser on your platform would seriously appreciate if we cut this AI nonsense because it clearly doesn’t work, and implemented some actual human review when it comes to our businesses. @MetaforBusiness @facebook @finkd

You can save $500/mo on Klaviyo if ur not already suppressing profiles. They charge on active profiles only. Make segment of dormant customers (nuanced). Suppress. Then create shopify flow to auto call klaviyo api to unsuppress a customer when there’s store activity from them

The bid cap strategy is the most underused scaling lever in Meta ads. Set a CBO with a very high daily budget. Set a bid cap at the adset level equal to the maximum CPA that hits your target ROAS. Formula: if AOV is $60 and target ROAS is 3x, max CPA is $20. Start there. If spending at a higher CPA than target, decrease bid cap by 10 to 15%. If not spending at all, increase bid cap by 10 to 15%. Find the sweet spot where the campaign spends at least 50% of the daily budget at the target ROAS. Bid cap protects ROAS while allowing aggressive scaling. When CPMs drop, the campaign spends more for the same cost. When CPMs rise, it protects efficiency automatically. Most people either do not use bid cap or set it wrong.

If @Meta is going to save 6 billion on forcing everyone to monthly invoicing, they should spend 1 billion on reps that are actively using their platform to give advice to other owners. Just spent 45 minutes teaching my rep why there is an auction overlap in our account.

@lukasenECOM In an ideal world add everything to the same adset. Meta knows if an ad is worth spending on so if it doesn’t spend on an ad there’s no point forcing it to because it was never gonna get a good CPA anyway (that’s why it never got spend)

Quick Meta Ads question👇 I’m running 1 CBO campaign with a single ad set and multiple ads inside it. Right now Meta is putting almost all the spend on one creative. Would you just keep adding new creatives into the same ad set and let the algorithm decide if they deserve spend, or would you force distribution by creating additional ad sets and setting minimum spend on them? Curious how others handle this when one ad dominates the budget.

Brand Owner: Our ad account is completely broken. We need to overhaul everything. Me: Broken how? Brand Owner: CAC doubled overnight. We've been profitable for months and suddenly nothing works. Me: When did this start? Brand Owner: About two weeks ago. We're thinking we need new creative, maybe a new agency. Me: Hold on. Before you do that, walk me through something. Have you checked your pixel? Brand Owner: Our pixel? Why would that matter? Me: Because I've jumped into 100+ accounts where brands thought everything was broken, and 7 out of 10 times it was just a technical issue. Brand Owner: Like what? Me: Pixel misfiring. Attribution window changed without anyone knowing. Optimization event switched from purchase to traffic and nobody caught it. Brand Owner: We haven't touched any of that. Me: You sure? Can you check your Events Manager right now? Brand Owner: {pulls it up} Oh. The optimization event is set to "add to cart" instead of "purchase." Me: When did that change? Brand Owner: Two weeks ago. Me: There's your problem. Brand Owner: Are you serious? That's it? Me: Probably. Also, when's the last time you tried checking out on your own site? Brand Owner: Uh, I don't know. A month ago maybe? Me: Try it right now. Brand Owner: {tries checkout} Oh my god. The payment processor is throwing an error. Me: So your checkout's been broken for who knows how long, and your campaigns were optimizing for the wrong event. You weren't tracking purchases at all. Brand Owner: I can't believe we were about to fire our agency over this. Me: Most brands don't want to hear that the answer is simple. Simple doesn't justify the panic or the emergency calls. Brand Owner: So what do I do? Me: Fix the checkout. Switch your optimization event back to purchase. You'll probably be back in business by noon. Brand Owner: That's it? Me: Check the boring stuff first. If it's a technical problem, you don't have a strategy problem.

Once I owed a Pakistani data / lead vendor about $100 He texted me from 10 different whatsapp's and I blocked each one. He emailed like 4 of my emails (business and private) from different accounts. Reached out on linkedin and added my parents on Facebook to demand payment. And you're scared to follow up?

All I want is to ban influencers from the gym. Go to the gym to workout or don't come. Stop the selfies, stop the filming of your workouts. Go take videos of your ass in your house and leave the rest of the world out of it.
