@heymrsbond Another option (where possible) is to invite students to come and share a time when they really enjoyed learning: where were you? What we’re you learning? Was it easy? Did you give up? Why or why not. (maybe in small groups with teams of teachers? Or a panel might work too)

@heymrsbond I like the idea of sharing two things from summer: One thing that brought you joy (bonus points if it isn’t school related) One thing you learned or learned about that you want to explore this school year. Could be a start of interdisciplinary PLCs around a change idea.

@ConkEdPerspect I don’t. There are people who are great at accounting, but could really do some damage to kids. Anybody who steps foot in a classroom should enjoy being around kids and should want to be there. Our kids aren’t props to help admin understand our job.

I believe with every fiber of my being that every single human working at your district office should be substitute teaching AT LEAST two days per month. I will die on this hill. #teachertwitter #edchat
