I have a theory Samsung will eventually stop making smartphones and only supply parts to other brands. They arejust selling it for the ake of selling. Eventually they might even sell One UI to some brand. we can see there's 0 improvements to their smartphones just hints to this

Any virtual meeting that doesn't need a screen should be an audio only call, so people can go for a walk instead of staring at screens all day. Especially when it's this glorious outside. This is a rule in my team. But it should be a law of the land.

Android 17 deserved a full stage presentation.. I still can't believe Android 17 never got a proper keynote at Google I/O. First they did a separate Android Show event where they talked about almost everything except Android 17, their MAIN OS. Then during the actual Google I/O keynote, they STILL barely talked about Android 17 at all. Instead, Google quietly posted a “What’s New in Android” page on their website that linked to an unlisted YouTube video (now public). Like… what even was this strategy? We all were expecting a proper Android 17 keynote covering all the important stuff in detail: • New blur/transparency UI effects • Sideloading & security changes • New privacy features • Performance improvements • UI refinements • Lock screen & multitasking changes • AI integrations • Material 3 Expressive evolution • Tablet/foldable optimizations • Everything else coming with the OS This is literally the biggest Android update of the year and somehow it felt like Google didn’t even want to present it on stage properly.

Modern people are patethic. Someone next to me just had a fake sandwich from a shop, salt vinegar crisps, coca cola and now a chocolate bar while cooling with little plastic fan. We set off from London 25 min ago.

@AnxiousHolly like every feature, it is there to be used by some and not used by others. I don't see the same extreme dramas over other things like, do use use flash with your pictures at evening? (vomit) or in my case extremely not useful QuickShare or probably anything else :)

@jmwilt21 @AdamJMatlock It doesn't matter what phone you are using as long as you use all Google services together. Only then gemini really gonna work

@AdamJMatlock People always find the dumbest things to complain about with Google. There is plenty to complain about but Google is not android, their services are meant to run great in Android and iOS.

Google is pushing their AI and Gemini which are multi-platform. I don’t have a problem with them using an iPhone here because it shows it’s not just for Pixels.

I think Google did an incredible job with the new Gemini app They use and adaptive native design systems from both Android (Material You) and iOS (Liquid Glass), and it still feels unique with Google's overarching design. They've now done the best job of any app I've seen

@zacbowden @JezCorden Unfortunately typical MS. They have this strange obsession that they are business only corporation, that somehow it makes them better, outstanding, special. They never want to even consider that normal humans want to buy and use Surface

I have to say, I am really not a fan of the way Microsoft conducts Surface PC launches these days. Online blog post, focusing on business customers only, is absolutely NOT the way to go about generating hype for your hardware lineup. We know consumer variants are around the corner, we know they will be (a bit) cheaper, and we know they'll have Snapdragon X2 options. Why not just announce it all at the same time, at an event that actually generates a bit of hype? This is bewildering.

Battlestar Galactica (2004–2009) took a space opera premise and turned it into one of the most intense political and psychological sci-fi shows ever made. The paranoia & constant feeling that humanity was hanging by a thread made it addictive television.

@Galvestz I liked it 😂 it wasn't perfect, or finished, but it was something radical, different, bold. I still miss windows being able to support tablet mode

I feel so bad for Windows 8. Nobody liked, and it may be the most hated Windows OS ever.
