When Daniel asked Sophia out in their final year at university, he had nothing but dreams.
No car. No fancy clothes. No rich parents.
Just ambition.
Sophia laughed when he confessed his feelings.
"Daniel, you're a good person, but love doesn't pay bills," she said before walking away with a wealthy businessman who constantly spoiled her with gifts.
The rejection crushed him.

Mothers with babies and expensive phones, this one is for you 😭💔
Yesterday, I was bathing my baby. After dressing her up, I handed her my Samsung S24 to keep her calm while I quickly cleaned up.
Next thing I heard?
"PLOP" 😭😭
This small human launched my phone straight into the water like it was a toy!
My heart literally stopped.
I've had Samsung A-series phones before that died from water damage and cost me serious money to repair.
I was already calculating how much this S24 repair would cost and rehearsing the: "Babe, please don't be mad" speech for my husband 😂
I quickly fished it out and waited for the worst😭
But guess what?
The S24 is still working perfectly till now! 🔥
No issues. No glitches. Nothing.
Samsung actually shocked me with this one 👏
Who else has had their phone baptized by their baby? 😂👇

@adanonso_ This made me smile fr.
Official Companion is wife goals 😂 He kept his word for 14 years straight. That's rare and honestly beautiful.
Sounds like you married a keeper.

I see a lot of conversations about gender roles on the timeline these days.
Truthfully, I believe some roles naturally come easier to one person than the other. But I also believe marriage is not a competition. Sometimes it is simply about supporting your partner in ways that make life easier for both of you.
Before my husband and I got married, I was very honest with him about something.
There were certain chores I had never done in my life. Not only had I never done them, I had absolutely no interest in learning them.
I told him plainly, “If this is going to be a problem, let us discuss it now because I don’t want surprises after marriage.” I even suggested that if it became necessary, we could always pay someone to do it.
My husband looked at me and said, “Why would we do that? I’ll do it.” I laughed. Not because I didn’t believe him.
I just thought it was one of those sweet things people say before marriage. You know the kind.
The promises that sound beautiful during courtship and mysteriously disappear after the wedding.
Well, here we are over 14 years later. Not once has this man asked me to do those chores. Not once. Not even a “Can you help me this one time?”
Nothing.
The funny thing is that after years of watching him do it, I eventually learned how to do it myself. Every now and then I would feel guilty and offer to help.
His response was always the same. Don’t worry about it. Just sit there and keep me company. Imagine that. I came to help and got reassigned to the position of Official Companion.
So there I would sit, talking, laughing, giving completely unnecessary commentary while he worked. Sometimes I wonder if that was his plan all along.
Maybe he knew that if he kept doing it long enough, one day I would learn by watching. Or maybe he simply meant what he said.
What I know for sure is that he kept his word. And in a world where people make promises they never intend to keep, I think that’s one of the most beautiful gifts you can give your spouse.
Not the chore itself. Not the task. The consistency. The fact that fourteen years later, your actions still match your words.
Marriage has taught me that love is often found in the small things people do repeatedly without keeping score.
And sometimes, love looks like a husband telling his wife, “Don’t bother. Just sit there and keep me company.”

@GOLDBABYO After buying multiple gifts, running through the rain, and putting so much thought into showing up, being told “never mind” would sting. Then finding out there was suddenly a solution once it suited everyone else? Yeah, I can see why that hit hard.

Today broke something in me. I was supposed to go to the housewarming party of the sister of my best friend. Not just any friend: someone I've known for 21y. Someone whose family I've always considered my second family. The kind of family where their mother signs her gifts for me with "From Mommy M." I was excited to be there. I had already bought a gift but I thought it wasn't enough so I bought a 2nd one. Then I got worried it wouldn't arrive in time, so I bought a 3rd one the night before.

@freakin_snow That’s very good to see that true love supersedes guilt and mistrust

21 Savage was asked if he will do a DNA on his new born baby with Latto, he seemed very upset by the question and said
“Man, everybody got an opinion on some bullshit now. Let me make this shit crystal clear though,no DNA, no test, none of that. Baby mine cause she said it’s mine and that’s final”. Period!!
I love men that take their lady’s word for it.

The most expensive mistake is assuming there is still time.
Yesterday, I took my son to the hospital for what seemed like a minor issue. I almost didn't go, but my wife insisted.
While there, I witnessed something that broke my heart.
A young boy was rushed in. The doctors fought to save him, but they couldn't.
His father later explained that the boy had fallen from a tree days earlier. They tried to manage it at home for nearly a week before bringing him to the hospital.
By then, it was too late.
That moment reminded me that many illnesses and injuries don't become deadly overnight. They become deadly when treatment is delayed.
If something feels wrong, seek medical attention early.
Early treatment doesn't guarantee a miracle, but waiting can remove the chance of one.
