@EricEngels Do you vote on the Jack Adams? I’m curious of your choice there?? I have a hard time giving that trophy to a guy who has the Hart and Vézina winners at his disposal. Sure injuries come into play . They do with every coach.

@DarioNovel20652 I generally agree, which is why I’ve never given a top-3 vote to a player whose team didn’t make it. Prior to this year, never gave more than a fifth-place vote to one. Werenski on an island in Columbus and Celebrini more than lapped the rest of his teammates.

@EricEngels I hear you, I just feel that MVP is the 1 trophy that should go hand in hand with making the playoffs...in my book missing the playoffs neans you just were not valuble enough.

@DarioNovel20652 First time I've ever had 2 non-playoff players on my Hart ballot. I wrote many articles on Suzuki's accomplishments, so obv have nothing but respect and admiration for his season. Supporting cast weighed into my decision (not just for Suzuki, but also Celebrini and Werenski).

@EricEngels Never understood how players not leading their teams to the playoffs could be on the top 5 when a guy like Suzuki is not...we can all agree MTL does not sniff the playoffs without him...

@Henri62156657 Kucherov collected 93 pts over a 45-game span--most points produced by any NHL player in a single-season 45-game stretch since Mario Lemieux recorded 112 points in 1995-96. That partly tipped what was basically an even three-horse race with McDavid and MacKinnon for me.

Didn’t have the Oilers spoiling a third straight Stanley Cup Final on my bingo card. All kidding aside, it is a shame that in the middle of one of the best final series we’ve seen, this whole Babcock thing is a dominant headline.
