@AdamP1242 If the wages are right, then I'd take a punt on Nunez but not at the expense of Big Nick.
Wissa can be sold to accommodate him, but Woltemade should stay and become the starter up top.

Call me crazy, but on a free transfer, Newcastle could do a lot worse than Darwin Nunez imo.
Wages and sign-on fee obviously an obstacle, but his high-energy style would suit Eddie Howe. #NUFC

@NUFCThreatLevel True, but they've still had to play two games a week under the rules of PSR.
From next season, Howe can't keep trotting out the same line about it hindering us. The recruitment needs to be better and the tactics need to be smarter.

@EvanQuick I think the fact they've had a couple (??) runs in the Europa League has probably eased them in a bit more steadily than our two cracks at the Champions League. But still lots to learn.

I think it needs pointing out to anyone around the club that shrugs their shoulders at our league campaign, that Villa are here after finishing 6th combined with a run in the Champions League.
This season, fifth with a complete run in Europe. Albeit at a lower level. #NUFC

If Gordon wants to join Bayern, then he shouldn’t play for #NUFC through to the end of the season.
That’s not being petty, It’s not the end of the world. I can even understand..
But this is a free chance to set a standard.
It might be the real reason he hasn’t been playing.

I'll be sad to see him go, but I think the move benefits everyone. Especially if he goes abroad.
Great player for us who on his day was almost unplayable.
Only shame is that he wasn't able to play in the final last year, that should be one of his biggest regrets.

No reason why it can’t be an amicable parting of ways.
He became a trophy winner, a champions league player and an England international during his time with us.
He’ll likely make us a tidy profit which we can hopefully invest wisely in the squad

I think the move would benefit everyone as it's becoming clearer that he's going stale and wants a different challenge.
If we had Europe next year then he may have stayed, but I think he'll be gone.

@Y03225601 He's got a long contract so has to be over £70m. Clubs also know #nufc probably need a big sale if they're not in CL or Europa League so they won't go that high. £75m would probably be a realistic and acceptable fee (if they have replacements they can sign)

The idea you'd get Gordon out of #nufc for £51m is, ahem, interesting (shorthand for completely barmy)
Being shopped around Europe while #nufc emerge from worst run for years isn't great - but a few clubs interested helps Newcastle drive up the price

@Bazro10 Biggest summer for the club in years. They need to recruit (and sell) quickly and well, also the board need to start making decisions on stadium, training ground etc.

Sunderland have nailed this.
Switching their iconic black cat to a black dog for Mental Health Awareness Week sends an important message.
The “Black Dog" symbolises depression, and bringing it front and centre helps break the silence around it and will hopefully get people to open up and talk.

It wasn't made clear either as I bought a personalised shirt based off the measurements on the club site, and they told me they couldn't do anything.

@EvanQuick Yeah, unfortunately we’ve all heard and seen the reports on how bad they are. Staggers me that we’ve gone with them, but also, I know what our board are like so it doesn’t surprise me. Hopefully, their quality takes a turn for the best with our kits. Not holding my breath though.
