@Colemans_Dream Not Brennan’s biggest fan, but booing him is disgraceful. In my opinion, he’s a bench option until he can show form again (if he can recapture that) & if he comes off the bench then he should be supported. Fans have a right to be disappointed with him tho. He’s better than this.

Disappointing. Disappointing match. Not a great performance and I don’t think we know anything we didn’t already know. Bellamy needs to learn to change his tactics when teams sit in against us. Disappointing window and very disappointing to hear fans boo our own. That’s not us.

@NigelBlues Just frustrating that the ones doing obviously shady & dark dealings seem to have got away with it. Never expected anything less. These kinds of characters always find some loophole that gets them out of things. They ride close to the edge, but never in a vehicle of their own.

So the only winners are Capital Law and Dalman who likely did very well with their fees. At least we can finally move on from it. I believe City had valid reasons for the case but bankrupting a French club in a French court always seemed unlikely. Wonder where it leaves Tan?

@AntWelshViking @henrysaye Exactly. Play Harris and Cullen for all we care. They aren’t getting game time at their respective clubs. Keep our boys out of that pointless game. Who cares who came 3rd and 4th? Utter waste of energy and time for players with an already packed schedule.

I’d be very disappointed if we don’t see some of the younger players play on Tuesday. I’d also be disappointed if Bellamy makes a power play and goes with Harris and Cullen again. Is there anything in the Human Rights Act that can get us out of Tuesday?

@henrysaye @calgas21 Sorba isn’t aiming for anyone in particular. His job is to constantly whip the ball into dangerous areas. He even mixed it up, left and right foot, whipped to the back, low and short cut backs. He did everything he could. Brennan doesn’t. I agree with you about Harris though.

I learned something last night. I was part of the school of thought that we needed to add physicality to match physical teams. But that just sucks you into their game. It’s pace as way of the pace Dan James was able to highlight. We need to sign pace. Physical teams hate pace

@henrysaye @calgas21 Disagree. I think we are better without him. Until he decides to turn up. He needs to be a bench player until he uses his PL & European experience to help us win games. I’d put Wilson, DJ, Brooks, Sorba and Broadhead possibly before him right now.

@henrysaye Yeah crazy isn’t it? Surely as an attacker, if you are being fouled constantly, it means that they are scared of what you could do and they don’t want to let you go. Take it as a compliment and terrorise them more. But i suppose when it’s your living, being injured isn’t ideal.

@MarkLewisCarter I think the aggressive fouling took a lot out of our game - intimidated us. But it was criminal for Wilson to take extra touches as their keeper was awful as highlighted by the James’ goal and Harris penalty.

@henrysaye I thought Brooks & Wilson were good although yeah, Wilson took way too long with that one chance for sure. Neco quiet but ok, DJ excellent & Brennan awful. I wondered whether Wilson was taking extra touches because others around him weren’t on it & so he was reluctant to give it.

@MarkLewisCarter We have 5 key players - Wilson, Johnson, James, Williams and Brooks. Only James had a good game. Even Wilson kept wanting that extra touch. We will struggle if they are average.

@thebarryhorns Joel Colwill for JJ, in my opinion. Sheehan sits deeper than JJ. Joel is more like for like, box to box with bite.

@henrysaye True. But his pace would have naturally pushed them back because they can’t be touch tight marking to Sorba or DJ. One right pass and they won’t catch them. That’s why they would have to defend deeper. But yeah, you are right that there has to be the right man on the end of it.

@MarkLewisCarter Problem with Sorba is that he is closer to a traditional winger - he was crossing to no one. Johnson did show his PL ability with that knock back from a Sorba cross, but Mark Harris was about as switched on as a brick.🧱

@Si1927 Totally agree. Jordan James for Cullen is a crazy crazy sub. Especially when you have Joel Colwill, another box to box midfielder with drive and intensity right there. Brennan should have been off as well and Sorba on when we went 1 up. They were terrified of pace.

The issue I have with last night is those subs you knew they were coming and you knew the outcome. Its not like they've not been an issue in various games during qualifying so to expect a different outcome is crazy! I feel for Ampadu who was colossal but left completely exposed after subs cos we played a striker in midfield......again!! We had better options sat in stands/bench who were fit and IN FORM! It IS NOT on Cullen or Harris TBH

That feels ten times worse this morning. The World Cup is transformational for the vibe of the nation and my kids now have to have a summer like I had in 94: a USA WC we should have qualified for and all the positivity that brings in dark times.

@JamesMahoney01 I just can’t understand it, how you can go from dominating possession and having them terrified, picking up bookings all over the place, to just handing them the game. Sorba for Brennan at 1-0, push DJ up top with Brooks out wide right. Get the second goal & THEN maybe defend it.

@MarkLewisCarter Couldn’t agree more re Johnson, should have come off in the second half, very poor. And yeah we sat back when we scored and invited pressure. Only a matter of time that they’d score. Mind you, if Cullen had cleared the ball properly, rather than scuffed it out for a corner 🤷‍♂️

I don’t see one thing that Brennan Johnson brings to this team. For a player of his ability and price tags, he should be doing a lot lot more. Tonight’s loss isn’t on him though. We sat back when we went one up and only tried to attack again when they had equalised. Awful.

@Mr_Peteroy He’s very rarely done anything of note for Wales. A few goals here and there. Never a constant threat. Sorba and Dan James over him every day of the week.

@Bennifactor Yeah I’ll have to read the book now, didn’t even know it was a book until the day I went to see it. I felt the same when I went to watch Ready Player One. I loved the book, and enjoyed the film but it wasn’t exactly how I read it so it felt a bit disappointing.

Project Hail Mary is one hell of a film. Definitely recommended if you are into that kind of thing. If you aren’t, fair enough. But it’s excellent. ✨
