I’m bored of people banging on about Man City & other teams not being punished for their misdemeanours.. Just shut up & wait until after this season is over, then let the Premier League begin their punishments. Who wants to win a title due to Man City being deducted points..

A family was caught on camera being scammed by illegal taxi touts at Heathrow Terminal 5 this week. They’d just landed with their kids when an unauthorised driver approached them and quoted £190 for a trip to a Holiday Inn in Kensington. When they pushed back, the price dropped to £150. Then £120 for the family of four to Paddington. None of it through a meter, none of it through a proper booking system. It’s illegal for anyone other than a licensed black cab to pick up unbooked passengers at a UK airport. These touts don’t carry the proper insurance - meaning if anything happens to you in their car, you’re not covered. TfL and the Met run regular operations at Heathrow to clamp down on this exact behaviour. Always use the official taxi rank outside each terminal. Or book a licensed cab through an app like Uber or Bolt before you land. This is shocking on multiple levels. A Freedom of Information request revealed that 158 individuals granted private hire licences had prior convictions for violent offences. In addition, 61 had drug-related convictions, 36 had drink-driving offences, and 4 had sexual offence convictions. Overall, the FOI showed that 438 licences were issued to individuals with criminal records in the last year alone. Further concern arises from reporting by @carolinegall1, which conflates taxi drivers with private hire drivers.
