@eytexi That’s absolutely valid. I do prefer 12th man in MD2 with France vs Iraq and Brazil vs Haiti.

@FPL_Chubbs I'm personally quality over quantity when it comes to captains. I think it's good to have the primary bases covered, but trying to spread oneself too thin also isn't necessary when we have options playing against Curaçao, Haiti, etc.!

@eytexi Haaland is one of the better late captaincies but he hasn’t found a way in any of my drafts yet. Maybe I need to start looking to optimise as many captaincy picks as I can?

@FPL_Chubbs I'm liking the look of starting with Haaland & pivoting to Kylian GW2; of course, France should have the beating of Senegal, but they're no pushovers!

@laplfc I think Gomez will stay and rightly so. He can cover both centre back and right back. We need to try and sign a hybrid left centre back/left back to give Van Dijk and Kerkez sufficient help without going into signing players from both positions!

We'll definitely sign another CB because Gomez is likely to leave.

World Cup Fantasy corners analysis: 🇵🇹Portugal play Congo, the team conceding the most corners in Africa. Nuno Mendes has taken only 3 fewer corners than Bruno Fernandes, yet nobody is really talking about it enough. 🇧🇪 Maxim De Cuyper plays for a very corners-heavy Belgium side. He took 11 corners for the national team over the season, a solid number, just completely overshadowed by De Bruyne's absurd volume. Still I expect him to take more with KDB's fitness still uncertain. 🇲🇦 If Morocco lose to Brazil, Hakimi becomes even better for MD2/3. Morocco then face the teams with the highest combined corner concessions, and Hakimi is on corners from both sides. MD3/4 could be huge for territorial dominance. 🇸🇪 Daniel Svensson (DEF!) & Yasin Ayari are Sweden's main corner takers. Mentioning them because somehow I've barely seen them included in set-piece threads. 🇧🇪 Kevin De Bruyne & 🇨🇴 James Rodríguez are elite picks for Set-Play xG creation. I am not really comfortable going without them. Feels like they’ll find a way to return points every single game. 🇨🇿 Czechia are also extremely corners-heavy. Coufal takes the majority, but it's worth noting that a large share is evenly distributed among 4 other players too. Krejci remains the main receiver regardless of how many aerial threats they have. 🗺️ First #WCFantasy draft after a bit of thought. This is built for GW1 & GW2, for fun, with a few deliberate & obvious risks. Interested to hear about non-obvious alternatives to this bunch if anyone has any exciting differentials, & the rationale behind them!

Love the scouting bonus in WCFantasy so here’s a few thoughts about utilising it! • Think the best value is in defence/GK - it’s basically a 9 point CS! • Current favourite attacking differentials are the talismanic types with nice MD1 games: J. Rodriguez Sabitzer Calhanoglu J. Ayew Gakpo • I wouldn’t let it dominate *too much* in attack. The mega hauls are likely to come from higher owned assets from top teams, but I’d have to have at least one talisman punt in there! • Note: Exactly 5% owned counts for the bonus and they need 5 or more points (not 4) As the final deadline approaches we’ll notice a lot of differentials creep towards the 5% mark. That’s the only problem with sharing so much on here 😂 Which differentials do we currently have? #WCFantasy

@FPLProspectz You’re probably right, on a France or Brazil midfielder you don’t own. Haaland is pretty safe for MD1 though vs Iraq. That’s tempting!

@FPL_Chubbs I think the team looks good overall. The only thing I’m a bit unsure about is having just one Spain player. If you’re going with the wildcard MD3 strategy, which I’m also leaning towards right now, then I really like the idea of doubling or even tripling up on Spain

@FPL_Chubbs @LFCAT007 Nah. He is alright, but my favourite German striker is Undav. I think Havertz will start nethertheless because Nagelsmann hates Undav. Woltemade is really shit so don't get him in.
