@simonateba This from a previous post : “Trump isn’t being prosecuted because he’s running for office; Trump is running for office because he is being prosecuted ! (and he knows he is likely going to be found guilty by a legitimate legal system so he wants to give himself immunity).

BREAKING: U.S. Department of Justice Special Counsel Jack Smith today filed a brief disputing former President Trump's claim to presidential immunity in the context of the 2020 election interference case in DC. NOTE: Smith claims that granting Trump immunity from criminal prosecution could be dangerous, especially when the alleged conduct involves criminal actions to overturn election results. NOTE: The filing accuses Trump of conspiring to use false election fraud claims to overturn legitimate election results. NOTE: The most crucial argument by Smith is that if a President engages in criminal means to retain power without the possibility of criminal prosecution, democracy itself would be at risk. NOTE: Trump has refuted claims that he acted illegally or incited 'an insurrection.' Trump has said his speech on January 6, 2021, was protected by the First Amendment and that, as President, he enjoyed immunity from prosecution. MY TAKE: As I have noted, every American President has enjoyed presidential immunity for their actions in office. This has included presidents who went to wars based on a lie, a lie that left thousands of American soldiers dead and hundreds of thousands of civilians massacred. It's therefore not unreasonable to conclude that Trump is being prosecuted because he is running for President and is leading in the polls.

A kid asked to race yesterday. I laughed while shooing him away. Thinking, I probably couldn’t beat him even if I wanted to with my hamstring the way it is. So naturally, I hit a timed 20yd today out of pure recklessness. 90% 1st 10yd & coasted the back 10yd. Don’t try me… 👀🙃
