Congratulations to Sidney for being the Bloomingest community in Greater Victoria! The Greater Victoria @FlowerCount reports that over 17,405,634,740 of the 38,031,937,388 blooms were in Sidney! Although we think they may have forgotten to count a few... 😄

Our biggest thank you goes to all community members, schools, & students who participated in the 49th Annual Flower Count. You are the reason for this event's success, making us proud to say we work, play, and live in Greater Victoria. 🌷 Until 2025 - our 50th year! 💐

The Bloomingest Classroom of the 49th Greater Victoria Flower Count is... 🥁 Ms. Lake's Class, coming in STRONG with 8,049,629,422 blooms counted! 💐 Each student wins a free trip to @butchartgardens escorted by @LALimoVictoria! A big congratulations to these students! 🏆

Flower Fun Fact: This vibrant violet-blue flower is called a Scilla. It's ignored by rabbits, deer, & chipmunks, allowing it to thrive in Greater Victoria's springtime. 💜 Tune into @chek_news at 5PM today to learn which Community will be crowned the Bloomingest of 2024! 🏆👑

Flower Fun Fact: Did you know there are three different blooming, pink trees in Greater Victoria? Plum blossoms, peach blossoms, and cherry blossoms all bloom, and generally in that order. What's your favourite Victoria landmark to see dressed-up in pink? 🌸 #FlowerCount
