We hosted the termly Trafford Forest Schools meet up tonight. It’s always lovely to get together, share stories and ideas, and get inspired 🌿🔥🪵

Hapazome for EYFS this afternoon 🌿🔨

First we used knives to whittle our sycamore sticks, then we wrapped dough around them, then we cooked the bread over the fire… then we smeared it with chocolate spread 😋 @ACEdoves

Reception children had a lovely time planting sweet peas in @StGeorgesAlty community garden this afternoon 🌱

So impressed with Y5’s knot tying skills today! We practiced the basic ones, learnt some new ones and then used them in real life situations. Good job Nightingales! 🪢

Y3 enjoyed getting creative with elder sticks today 🌿

The rain did not stop us having a great time in Forest School yesterday. Lots of jumping in puddles and playing in the mud! We planted sweet peas too and look forward to watching them grow over the coming weeks 🌱

Y3 found it really tricky to identify trees just from their twigs but they loved having a go! 🌳🌲

Today in Forest School we learned how to use hammers safely. We made fantastic crocodiles with knobbly, gnarly backs! 🐊 @ForestSchoolACE
