@junodabi It may have to do with action figures, of all things. Heavy stylized cartoons meant flashy toys that kids would want, but now most superhero action figures are directed to grown collectors. Children don't play with toys like they did 20 years ago. That's what I think at least

@Freezelizard I was just thinking the other day how we don’t have many action cartoons with this exaggerated proportions, deliberately cartoony art style like this. Shows just don’t look like The Batman, Spectacular Spider-Man, Teen Titans, or the DCAU and the like anymore.

@Gothams_Kitchen I made Owl shorter to stand out between all the tall guys I was drawing, and always thought he looked a bit too much like Wolverine, hence why he's old and short. Wanted to draw Purple Man, Karen and Foggy but don't have the time currently
