To paraphrase Enrique Peñalosa: A plowed and salted cycle track is a symbol that a child on a $30 bicycle is equally important as an adult inside a $30,000 car.

In @wfcouncil we’re working with our volunteer #SnowAngels to get our pavements gritted & made safe for our pedestrians, we’re clearing the snow & ice from & gritting our #CycleTracks, as well as gritting our roads. @willnorman @London_Cycling @carltonreid @laura_laker @sustrans

It was already quite safe to cycle between cities in the Netherlands. Now it is being made more comfortable and convenient. Regional routes are being upgraded to make them direct, attractive, and easy-to-navigate; converting car journeys to the (e-)bike. bicycledutch.wordpress.com/2021/01/13/ano…
