@paulavaynshteyn Hello! There were other beta-testers who highlighted a lot of aspects that felt questionable for the game, so I cut them. Creative process frequently lead to bad design decisions, so it’s pretty normal for games during early stages to shape shift.

@thomasbrushdev @reidhannaford Actually do the same thing every time in Unreal as well, and it's logical - you don't want 1M shells in the ocean to cast shadows if player doesn't care

In the midst of optimizing Twisted Tower still. Just wanted to share a huge insight I learned. And yes, I know this is a DUH thing. Shadows are brutal. They kill performance. Good rule of thumb: disable EVERY single mesh and light from casting shadows (assuming you are not baking lightmaps). Period. Then, when you're level is *done*, you go in an find those few lights and meshes that really need shadows. Insane performance boost. If you really need a lot of shadows, bake those specifically
