Thanks for the good comments, though the sound design is done by Hans Christian Kock and Lukas Julian Lentz, I just direct from a high level sometimes. (But yeah lack of annoyingness from repeated sounds is one of the high-level design directives, and I think we can do more there!)

I'm not sure if people realize just how A+ @Jonathan_Blow 's sound design is in Order of the Sinking Star. It's a feast for the ears. Listen closely... Every single sound has a perfect balance to it. They're never annoying, but you hear them constantly. Over and over. I'm inspired

@IsaiahToth_Dev @Jonathan_Blow I won't pretend to be *this* good, but I have a hard time explaining sound design... it's kinda a feel thing. I dunno. I haven't done a video I don't think!

@IsaiahToth_Dev @Jonathan_Blow They are muffled, but they have a delicate high end to them as well. They're perfect.

As beautiful as Halo Campaign Evolved is, there’s something so…. I dunno…. perfect about the old halo look. The clean, simple lines. The simplistic materials. It’s eerie in a beautiful way. Obviously, I’m not saying Campaign Evolved is a misstep. Just saying the classic look is perfect in its own way. That’s my next project, I think…
