@jameswagz If you follow him closely you’ll find he is a soccer guy at heart ;) But yes there are transferable skills and things we can learn from other sports. The cultural piece will always be a struggle at first. Even for us “soccer” guys the way one group doesn’t is wrong to another

So a person from Major League Baseball (MLB) is now a High Performance Director in Major League Soccer for the 2025 season. Could this be a continued trend across all pro sports? Transferable skills matter. Maybe sport content doesn’t (as much)? Thoughts?

Congratulations to former Philadelphia Union staff member Garrison Draper on his new role as Vice President of Sport Performance and Health at FC Cincinnati. Draper’s career with the Union spanned over eight seasons, starting in January 2014 as the Director of Sports Science for the Union Academy and rising to Vice President of Player Health and Performance. Under his guidance, the Union won the 2020 Supporters’ Shield and reached the 2022 MLS Cup final, earning a reputation for exceptional player availability. Most recently, Draper contributed to Inter Miami’s success, playing a key role in their world tour, the 2023 Leagues Cup title, and their 2024 Supporters' Shield campaign.
