REMINDER: white Republicans SPECIFICALLY drew this map in 2024 so that it WOULD be declared racist and redrawn. The Supreme Court and activists suggested much more fair maps (6 in total) that could show 2 majority Black districts

If you hear any of your Democrat friends whining about the Supreme Court decision re: the Voting Rights Act, ask them how the map in question meets the basic legal requirements of “reasonable configuration” as to “compactness, contiguity and natural geography.” Ask them.⚖️

This is categorically false. Not merely a stretch, but a straight-up lie.
Congress (not Biden alone) appropriated roughly $188 billion total for Ukraine-related support from 2022–2024. NOT $350 billion.
Of that, the bulk (~$110–130B in security/military categories) stayed right here in the U.S., paying American defense contractors & replenishing our own stockpiles.
Actual direct financial ("cash") support to Ukraine was roughly $31–38B. Those funds were tracked by the World Bank and were audited by firms like KPMG & Deloitte. We were not writing blank checks.
It's extremely frustrating to watch this President demonize an ally while downplaying Putin as the aggressor. This administration has ended new U.S. financial/military support for Ukraine (they can buy via the EU if needed). Combined with eased sanctions on Russia and the President's moral ambiguity on the war, it is just a complete betrayal that I will never, ever understand.
Polls show that the vast majority of Americans are very much clear eyed about this — we support Ukraine and we sympathize with Ukraine. Our President does not reflect that majority view.

why would anyone spend millions of dollars to build a factory in the US and train US workers when tariff policies can be changed on a whim by a compliment or an insult? you either shape your tariff regime around certain industrial goals or you're wasting everyone's time and money

Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach. Something a lot of people don't see. Trump thinks US troops in Germany are there to protect Germany. They're not.
