But that’s not what the series shows. On the wedding night, it’s clearly depicted that the girl was exhausted and not feeling well, so she wasn’t ready for anything. She kept refusing, but the man still forced himself on her. That is clearly without consent, against her will and it amounts to marital rape. Even after this, when she returned, despite being in shock, she tried to say that they should first understand each other. But the man didn’t listen and again forced himself on her. So the point is, the man was wrong from the beginning. Consent absolutely matters, but beyond that, if someone doesn’t even have the basic understanding of timing, comfort, mood, or whether the other person’s body is willing and instead behaves like a desperate person forcing himself on his wife, that is completely wrong.
