@tomisin_ms @spygirl_m You’re wrong though and it is a bit rich to criticise a country you chose to live and work in when the country you came from does not have any type of universal policy on maternity leave to write home about.

@tomisin_ms It depends on the company. I get 6 months full pay, 3 months smp and 3 months no pay. Father also gets paternity leave… so it is better than a lot of countries. What is it like in Nigeria?

@IamjustTerry So what is your issue with Ghana speaking about enslaved Africans? What has it got to do with you?

Ghana missed a perfect opportunity to stand in front of the entire world and apologize for it's role in selling enslaved people to the West and to be the very FIRST to offer reparations for slavery. Instead, they stood there and cravenly claimed THEY were victims.

TRUMP: “I DON’T KNOW IF WE’LL BE THERE FOR THE UK ANYMORE” Donald Trump just questioned whether the US will still be there for the UK in the future: "We're always going to be there. Well, at least we were. I don't know about anymore, to be honest with you." Keir Starmer has destroyed the special relationship that Britain and America have shared for decades.

@BlackAndNative1 @JMBILLGATES No one is speaking about black native americans. I am speaking about Africans who were enslaved. You should take your own advice and stay out of African business.

@GoodWomanHealth @JMBILLGATES My ancestors on documents dating back to slavery said negro black and colored. Stay out of Black American business like I said. It don’t matter how many time we were reclassified it is not your African business to speak for us. Especially when your ancestors sold slaves.

@BlackAndNative1 Who's paying this african to distract everyone with a false narrative? Keep all eyes away from the truth that melanated Americans have always been here. We have receipts, census, birth, marriage and death records. This is America!

They wouldn't because we aren't citizens of any African country. This is where specificity matters; we are American Descendants of Chattel Slavery, our ancestors were property that Africans sold. How can they make any claim to anything relating to ADOS? It's also the reason why we must disaggregate and bury the identity of African Americans. We know nothing about the various African countries or the thousands of tribes. This is crazy, but we can blame Pan Africans and Ron Daniels for this nonsense.

@nasescobar316 Heck, it was Ghana that enslaved Black Americans' ancestors in the first place. If anyone owes reparations to Black Americans, it is Ghana. Most people in America come from commoners, peasants, never owned anyone, many were even indentured -- they owe nothing to anyone.

@legend_ballz @Nedu_brazil01 Just say congratulations and move on. All you financial illiterates know nothing about uk mortgages because most who can afford a mortgage will also take out life, critical illness or unemployment insurance to cover such eventualities. Plus the equity increase is a bonus.

@GriftReport As long as there is a country called England, those born within will often identify as English nationals regardless of race or background. Also important to note that when such a person says that they are English, they normally mean national of the country and not the ethnicity.

Let’s be clear about something. How many Black people in the UK have actually reached the position Kemi Badenoch has reached today? She is the first Black leader of the Conservative Party, one of the two major political parties in the UK. That is not a small achievement that is history and realistically, that also puts her in a position where she could become the first Black Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Let’s also stop narrowing this conversation. Nigerians are not the only Black immigrants in the UK. Her success is not just a “Nigerian achievement” it is a Black British achievement. It represents progress for the black communities in the UK. You can disagree with her politics, you can challenge her views but you cannot erase what she represents. She is part of history, whether people like it or not and that alone makes her a source of pride for many across the UK. Let’s learn to separate political disagreement from collective progress.
OLUWATOSIN@faroukAlabi

Kemi is not a point of pride particularly not for Nigerians if all she does is denigrate her people at the slightest opportunity.
