To close #downsyndromeawarenessmonth we move into the present, featuring current researcher Jeremy Rouanet, an MD PhD student at UCI studying brain path in aging with DS focusing on Pittsburgh compound B and the effects of amyloid and other path in the striatum in people with DS.

Head Lab Graduate Student Researcher Cherie Anne Stringer @AquaporinGirl was just awarded a Rose Hills Foundation scholarship! She is pursuing a PhD in experimental pathology at UCI, mentored by @ElzHead. Cherie looks forward to teaching the next generation of scientists.

For #NPAW2023 we’re honoring the Head Lab postdoc stars! Dr. Lorena Sordo is a veterinary scientist with an MSc & PhD from @EdinburghUni. Her research includes neuropathology, biomarkers, and natural animal models to study AD. @LorenaSordo has also received @_BrightFocus awards!
