Batho ba Hammanskraal, I am so deeply sorry for what happened yesterday. I was running late from an imbizo with informal traders and asked MMC Boshielo to start in the meantime. I was on my way when I was informed that it had to be adjourned for safety reasons. We will consult with colleagues in Hammanskraal to set another date. It wasn't out of disrespect at all. The traders' meeting ran long, and I couldn't leave it without properly adjourning it.

Invest In Tshwane: Today, we met with stakeholders who have chosen to invest in Tshwane. The meeting discussed key projects proposed by real estate development, investment and management company, Atterbury. The project has the potential to generate much needed growth, jobs and development in Tshwane. Another key stakeholder present was Twyford - a Chinese-based building materials manufacturer. We are committed to fostering an environment that is friendly and conducive for business. The One Stop Shop is an example of our efforts to make it easy for businesses to make Tshwane their investment destination. The meeting was held at the Tshwane Economic Development Agency’s Tshwane InvestSA One Stop Satellite Office in Centurion. @TshwaneEconDev @Sarah_Mabotsa @CityTshwane

This morning, my wife and I went hiking in Wonderboom Nature Reserve in Pretoria North, and it was an amazing experience. The reserve is well-maintained and clean, with friendly and helpful staff at the gate. It’s a little bit more expensive compared to other places I’ve visited, but not excessively so.

Trading For Locals: This afternoon, we engaged hundreds of informal traders and stakeholders to communicate the importance of the Informal Trading and Township Economy By-Law. The by-law introduces a more comprehensive and developmental approach to support and regulate informal trading. It’s a critical part of our broader Economic Revitalisation Stategy. The by-law provides improved regulatory efficiency for: • Registration and licensing • Designated trading areas • Health and safety standards • Fair enforcement and compliance This engagement allowed us to engage directly with traders and address concerns they may have about the city’s stance of this crucial sector. Some of the support we are providing to traders is series of workshops that help them better understand compliance and trading requirements in Tshwane. We have increased these workshops to two sessions a week. We are committed to fostering a conducive environment for all businesses to thrive in Tshwane. @Sarah_Mabotsa @CityTshwane

ActionSA Tshwane Youth Forum successfully convened a BEC meeting with TUT Soshanguve students, as called by Keamogetswe Kgopa. Tshwane Youth Regional Chairperson, Pusetsi Matlala addressed the students, providing clear guidance and direction ahead of the upcoming SRC elections.
