The ladies from the Namabu SACCO were so happy to receive the Ugx 30 million entitled to them from the Parish Community Association (PCA) which has 10 groups. Thank you @OPMUganda @KaboyoAlice @MoLGUganda for making this possible.

I commissioned the Emergency Delivery Ward at Kizigo Health Center II, in Kizigo Ward, Najjembe Division in Lugazi Municipality. This facility will improve access to safe deliveries, reduce risks for mothers and newborns, and bring essential maternal health services closer to the community. I commend the Lugazi Municipal Council, all stakeholders, and the UPDF Engineering Brigade for their dedication and excellent work in establishing this facility. I also thank @MinofHealthUG for their support in funding and strengthening the health sector in our communities. We must now ensure the maintenance and full utilization of this Emergency Ward, to benefit our people.

I had the honor of representing H.E. the Vice President, @jessica_alupo at the Women in Construction Symposium held today at Imperial Royale Hotel, Kampala. I commend the organizers and partners for convening this important platform that continues to advance the participation of women in Uganda’s construction and infrastructure sectors. The resilience and contribution of women in this traditionally male-dominated field remain critical to strengthening capacity and driving inclusive socio-economic transformation. Government remains committed to supporting initiatives that expand opportunities for women and promote their full participation in national development.

I have arrived in Kisumu, Kenya, at the invitation of H.E. William Ruto, to join him in launching the Naivasha–Kisumu–Malaba Standard Gauge Railway. This is a strategic project that will reduce the cost of transport, ease the movement of goods, and deepen economic integration within East Africa. I look forward to this engagement.

The Kenya-Uganda Railway, a colonial infrastructure traversing Kenya from the Coast to the Western region and into Uganda, profoundly shaped the geography and economic trajectory of our region.

Strategic investments like these are essential for lowering the cost of doing business, supporting industrialisation and advancing the economic transformation of our region and Africa.

I am pleased to note the rapid increase in candidature at the UACE examination level over the last three years. From 109,486 candidates in 2023, the number rose to 140,888 in 2024 and now stands at 165,175. This shows that more learners are progressing to higher levels of education. We thank God for this progress.
